Sidney Lee Boucher-Katz Jewelry Artist
A lot of my creations are one of a kind. However, I also have a line of jewelry that is cast out of silver and can be reproduced. I put lots of love into each and every piece! I got my start with jewelry in high school. I started out soldering, hammering metal, and setting stones. Over the years I've taken many classes in silver smithing and then decided to try something new, wire wrapping. I always think it's good to learn new techniques. I love to do both techniques and have found that I have customers who like and appreciate either both or one or the other. Either way I have found that there's something for everybody. A few years back I decided to broaden my horizons and got a degree in interior design. While I love the subject matter and love designing my own home, my true love and interest lies with jewelry design. I find inspiration in everyday life and am especially inspired by nature. And, I love going to the Museum of Fine Arts to get a dose of all the beautiful things that have been created by other human beings over the years. I think it's important to have pretty things to look at and to surround your self with, hence jewelry! I live in Boston with my husband and two daughters.
